01Scope and controller

This Cookie Policy applies to suara.co.jp and its language-specific pages operated by Suara Capital Partners, Corp. (“we”, “us” or “our”). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

External websites linked from our website are governed by the policies of their respective operators.

02Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small piece of data stored in a browser or on a device when a website is visited. Our website may also use local storage, tags, pixels, scripts, device identifiers and other storage or access technologies. This Policy refers to all of them collectively as “cookies”.

Cookies may be set by our domain or set or read by service providers whose technology we use. They may be session cookies, which generally expire after the browser session, or persistent cookies, which remain for a stated period or until deleted.

03Consent management through CookieYes

We use the CookieYes consent management platform provided by CookieYes Limited. When the consent banner is shown, including on a first visit, visitors can accept all optional cookies, reject all optional cookies, or make a purpose-specific selection.

Except for cookies that are necessary to provide the website, maintain security or remember consent choices, optional cookies are enabled only after a visitor has given clear consent. Refusing or later withdrawing consent does not prevent basic access to the website, although a feature connected with the relevant cookie may become unavailable.

Remembering your choice: CookieYes uses a necessary preference cookie to remember consent choices. Under the current configuration, a choice is generally stored for 365 days. It may be updated earlier if the visitor changes or deletes the setting, we request renewed consent, or a technical update requires it.

For information about CookieYes’s own processing, please see the CookieYes Privacy Policy.

04Cookie categories and purposes

Cookies that may be used on our website are organised into the following five CookieYes categories. The cookies that actually operate depend on the page, location, device, browser, use of the website and consent choices.

Always active

Necessary

These support page delivery, communications, security, fraud prevention, consent records, forms, payment functionality and other services specifically requested by the visitor. They cannot be disabled in Cookie Settings.

Consent required

Functional

These remember choices such as language, display preferences or embedded features and provide functionality beyond the website’s essential operation.

Consent required

Analytics

These measure visits, referral sources, viewed pages and movement through the website so that we can understand use and improve the experience.

Consent required

Performance

These measure loading speed, responses, errors and other technical performance to help maintain and improve the website’s stability and quality.

Consent required

These may be used for advertising delivery or measurement, interest-based display and effectiveness measurement across websites. We request prior consent before enabling them.

05Changing or withdrawing consent

After giving consent, visitors can use the button below to reopen CookieYes and change or withdraw their choices by purpose at any time. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

If the settings panel does not open, please check whether a content blocker or similar tool has prevented the CookieYes script from loading.

Browser and device controls

Visitors may also delete or restrict cookies through browser or device settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent forms, security checks or other necessary functions from operating correctly. Please consult the instructions supplied by the relevant browser or device provider.

06Visitors from the EU, EEA and United Kingdom

For visitors accessing our website from the European Union, European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the United Kingdom, we apply the following approach to the extent required by applicable law.

European Union and EEA

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) and applicable national laws implementing the ePrivacy framework, we seek freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous consent before storing or accessing optional cookies on a device. Cookies that are strictly necessary for communications or a service expressly requested by the visitor are treated separately. Choices are purpose-specific, and refusing or withdrawing consent is as easy as granting it.

United Kingdom

Under the UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (“PECR”), we seek valid consent before using optional storage or access technologies unless an applicable exception covers the specific purpose. Optional cookies are not enabled in advance, and visitors can accept, reject, adjust by purpose or withdraw their choices.

  • Consent is obtained through an affirmative action, not through a pre-selected control or continued browsing alone.
  • Purposes, providers and durations are available in CookieYes and this Policy before consent is given.
  • Consent may be withdrawn at any time, and rejecting optional cookies does not prevent basic access to the website.

07Data, third parties and international transfers

Depending on the cookie category, service and consent choice, cookies may involve a cookie identifier, consent ID, consent status and timestamp, an IP address or masked IP address, approximate country or region, device, operating system and browser information, referral source, viewed pages, interactions and error information.

To remember choices and, where necessary, maintain evidence of consent, CookieYes may process a consent ID, country, consent status, UTC date and time, proof of consent and a masked IP address.

Our service providers may include CookieYes Limited, Stripe and Google, depending on the functionality used. A provider may process data as our service provider or, for its own purposes, as an independent controller. Please consult CookieYes settings, the provider’s policy and our Privacy Policy for details.

If data is transferred to a country or region outside Japan, the EU, the EEA or the United Kingdom, we apply a legally recognised safeguard where required, such as an adequacy decision, Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum, or another permitted mechanism.

Position under Japanese law: Depending on how they are handled, cookie identifiers and browsing history may constitute personal information or personal-related information under Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information. We address purpose specification, security, third-party provision and overseas transfers as required by applicable law.

08Retention

Cookie duration depends on the relevant purpose and configuration. A cookie may expire at the end of a session, after several days or months, or later. The specific period is available in CookieYes settings. We periodically review the need for cookies, their categorisation and their duration so that they are not retained longer than necessary for their stated purpose.

Under the current configuration, CookieYes generally retains the consent preference for 365 days. If a record needed to demonstrate consent is created, it is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to meet legal obligations, exercise or defend rights, or address a dispute.

09Your rights and how to contact us

Depending on applicable law, visitors may have rights to access, correct or erase personal data, restrict or object to processing, obtain data portability and withdraw consent. Visitors in the EU or EEA may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority, and visitors in the United Kingdom may lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (“ICO”).

Cookie choices can be managed through “Cookie Settings”. For questions about personal data or this Policy, please use our Contact page. We may need to verify identity or satisfy other legal requirements before acting on a request.

10Updates to this Policy

We may update this Policy when our technologies, services, laws or operations change. We will provide a clear notice on our website if a change is material and seek renewed consent where required by law. The CookieYes cookie list is updated in line with periodic scan results.
